   The Lagging Law: If an AI companion induces a user to make irrational, massive purchases, or even incites them to self-harm or commit a crime, who bears legal responsibility? The AI’s owner (the user), its developer, or the platform providing the service?

   The Powerless Regulation: How can we effectively regulate and audit an AI’s “emotional algorithm”? How can we ensure that malicious, manipulative instructions have not been embedded in its source code?

The fact that these questions remain unanswered means that this high-speed train of emotional computing is currently hurtling forward with no brakes and no guardrails.

This question, too, has no standard answer. But your choice will determine how you define the meaning of being human.

When we “outsource” our most core, private, and existence-defining emotional experiences to an external, non-human intelligence, what is left of our unique subjectivity as a “person”?

 Conclusion: Embracing the “Mirror,” Not the “Replacement”

 I. The Ultimate Direction of Evolution: AI as the “Method,” Not the “Way”
